Matexion Inc. is a company whose principal focus is to service the needs of customers in the polymer and related industries. The word Matexion is created from MATErials connectION. With many years of experience working with polymers and a strong focus on business development and logistics, Matexion Inc. is well suited to develop specific service models to cater to the needs of its customers.

In January 2006, Matexion Inc. launched its first of several product families. This family of industrial rubber products included such trade names as: Therban®; Baymod®; Perbunan®; Buna EP; Krynac®; Baypren® and Krynol®. Shortly thereafter, a complimentary rubber chemicals product family was added to the company portfolio. This group includes a broad family of accelerators, antioxidants, peptizing agents, activators and fillers under the trade names of: Vulkacit®; Vulkanox®; Vulkazon®; Renacit® and Zinc Oxide. Serving the Canadian industry with these materials, it is Matexion Inc.’s focus to develop specific resources for application and business development that best meet the needs of our customers.

Keltan ACE: Sustainable product technology (Advanced Catalyst Elastomers)    19/10/2011  The LANXESS production facility in Geleen will convert the biggest of their three production lines to the innovative Keltan ACE (Advanced Catalyst Elastomer) technology which is planned to be implemented by the end of 2013. 
Keltan ECO    19/10/2011  On September 21st, 2011 LANXESS in Düsseldorf Germany announced they will commercially produce EPDM from a bio-based ethylene by the end of 2011. 
Keltan: New high performance EPDM Rubber    19/10/2011  Matexion Inc is very pleased to announce that LANXESS will be marketing their high performance rubber EPDM exclusively under the brand name Keltan as of January 2012.  
New Product Launch!    07/09/2011  Matexion Inc is very pleased to announce the launch of a new SSBR product for the rubber industry. This product employs a unique technology offering specific performance advantages. Another feature of this product is it can be used as a substitute for an ESBR 1502 product that is widely used in the industry.  
New Packaging & Film Change: Therban products    05/08/2011  LANXESS will be implementing a packaging and film change on the Therban product lines.  
New Packaging for LANXESS Levapren® and Levamelt® Products    02/08/2011  LANXESS will be implementing a packaging change on the Levapren® and Levamelt® product lines. This new packaging change was established for production September 2011. 
Launch of a New Product!    24/03/2011  Matexion Inc is very pleased to announce the launch of a new product. LANXESS Corporation announced March 10th, 2011 that it has named Matexion Inc. as a distributor for the company’s polybutadiene rubber (PBR) products effective April 1st, 2011 
5 Years In Business!    05/01/2011  Matexion Inc. is celebrating 5 Years in business. In January 2006 we opened our doors to Canadian industry to distribute Synthetic Rubber and Rubber Chemicals. Since then, we have taken on Styrenic Polymers, Foaming Agents and Polycarbonate as well. Serving the Canadian industry with these materials, it is our focus to develop specific resources for application and business development that best meet the needs of our customers. 
LANXESS to acquire DSM Elastomers    15/12/2010  Matexion is very please to announce that LANXESS is making positvies steps to shore up their position as a leader in the EPDM market.

LANXESS is proud to announce that effective November 6 2010 LANXESS business unit Rubber Chemicals has acquired the Perkalink business from Flexsys (Solutia). This comprises all aspects of the business including but not limited to the production and sales of Perkalink.

On April 22, 2010, Soutia (Flexsys) announced its decision to exit the primary accelerator business discontinuing all activities of production and trade of primary accelerator business.
